Prior to the update's maintenance, Polyphony Digital warned players not to be in a middle of a championship during the maintenance period. This update also fixes some issues regarding the Performance Points calculation method, which were notably exploited to bring down the SRT Tomahawk X Vision Gran Turismo to a significantly lower PP rating in order for it to qualify for some PP-restricted, high-paying events.
Other new features include a new Mission Challenge segment named The Human Comedy featuring one-hour endurance races, widebody cars being marked on the Garage, and an update to suspension geometry algorithm to reduce snap oversteer behavior in some rear-wheel drive vehicles.
The game's inaugural content update adds three new cars, the Subaru BRZ S '21 (part of the 2022 Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup), Subaru BRZ GT300 '21, as well as the return of the Suzuki Cappuccino (EA11R) '91, and a new layout for the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the 24h Layout.
